About Konk Zooben

Konk Zooben is a semifictional saxophone player based in Melbourne, Australia.

Along with maintaining this calamitous sideshow, the often unsociable, misanthropic, yet affable horn player Konk Zooben spends his free time playing the saxophone, strumming one of his black guitars, writing books, poems and short stories, reading on the toilet, or more often than not, slumming on the couch. (Though the usual excuse is that he is busy studying re-runs of Daktari)

Konk Zooben’s super power is limited to launching skyward and crashing through the ceiling when over stimulated. On low energy days he frequently fails and simply launches only to fall asleep on the ceiling as if afflicted by reverse gravity.

He misses the little dog dearly and in 2024 had a dream that he and his wife were being followed along a footpath by what appeared to be their pet pobblebonk (of the same name).
